| Golfsmith Hi Cor Metalwood New Hi-COR Plus fairway woods, with 15-7 stainless steel faces, offer very similar performance benefits as the titanium drivers, but at a lower price due to the high-performance steel construction. Due to a higher nickel content, 15-7 steel is 40 percent stronger and 25 percent harder than 17-4 stainless steel, allowing for a thin 2.3mm face that enables more mass to be positioned around the perimeter of the sole and back from the face. A slightly oversized design and medium-deep face heights offer a larger sweet spot and exceptional forgiveness. Progressive face height throughout the set. The No. 3 wood has the lowest face profile to lower the center of gravity. As the lofts increase, so do the face heights, providing more impact area when the ball is sitting up in the rough. Low, rearward center of gravity design increases launch angle and lowers spin rate for maximum distance. High-strength, 15-7 stainless steel provides a very responsive face for added distance and feel. Hi-COR Plus fairway woods feature a .350 inside hosel diameter for added stability at impact. |
