| This 14 fulcrum scale is a precision tool constructed of the finest machine parts permitting clubmakers to measure swingweight, static weight, and component weight to the most exacting specifications obtainable on a manual beam balance scale. This level of precision is enabled by a special friction-free nylon bushing, which permits fine adjustments of the sliding weight indicator with ease and precise accuracy. It requires no leveling and permits readings of swingweight or static weight from either side of the scale. The clubhead end of the scale need not hang over the edge of your desk or workbench. To measure: Swingweight : Place the club lengthwise on top of the scale and move the sliding weight indicator along the fulcrum until the scale is balanced. The white line on the indicator clearly reveals the swingweight, as will the dual indicator points. Clubweight : Place the club in the cradle perpendicular to the fulcrum. Clubweight is displayed clearly in grams or ounces. Component part weight : For precise swingweight projections prior to club assembly, simply place the parts in the attached tray and read the weight in grams or ounces. |
